A Great Night!

Tonight Tracy and Felicity came over to visit. We made homemade pizza for us and Mac n Cheese for Felicity. I was so great to catch up with them!

Here is Felicity eating supper at the coffee table, while using diapers as a chair. (They are a baby shower gift for one of my friends). She was also glued to the t.v. during Wheel of Fortune.

And after supper we decided to hang out and color.

I can't wait to have my little Pumpkin once a week after work!! :)

Bow Hunting Success

Last night I went bow hunting for the first time this year. I have been bow hunting for the last three years and I have had no luck getting a deer. I would always see deer, I just couldn't hit them! :) Last night the weather was perfect and I felt really confident. At about 5:45 my deer came into my bait I watched him for about 20 min because there was a bigger buck off in the distance, but he didn't come close enough for me to get a shot. I was getting a little antsy so I decided to shoot. And guess what!! For the first time I shot a deer with my bow.

It is a 6 point buck.

I Got Flowers!

Wednesday was my birthday and while I was at work a lady with flowers came up to the Pharmacy counter and asked for me. I was a little busy counting out some medications and didn't know she had flowers so I finished what I was doing before I went over to the lady. I got over there and she had flowers in hand! I couldn't believe it, someone got me flowers!! The first person that came to mind was of course Jordy, but I know he isn't a big fan of flowers. I opened the card a little anxious, thinking maybe because it was my birthday he decided to get me flowers. Well they weren't from Jordy, they were from Mom and Dad! I love all the colors and they smell amazing! Thanks Mom and Dad for my flowers I love them!

Out of all the flowers this one is my favorite! I don't know what kind it is, but it smells great and is so pretty!

Phillips Demo

About a week and a half ago I was in a demo derby in Phillips. In my last post I had said that I was going to be doing the women's (powderpuff) derby. We had a bachelor/bachelorette party the night before so it was an early morning! We had to be up and on the road by 10 at the latest, lets just say we didn't attempt to leave any earlier. Well we got up to Phillips and plans changed a little bit. They weren't sure if they were going to have a powderpuff derby, so I decided to run with the guys. I figured I had a car up there, so why not right? So the picture below is from the night before when both parties were at one bar, and of course we are looking our best like normal! ;-)
These pictures are from the derby. This was my heat and I had to be the top two to go to the feature. At this moment I was really nervous!! I all of a sudden didn't feel so well and was wondering what I got my self into!!
Good news! I won my heat! WooHoo so here is me driving off the track after the heat was finished. The heat took less than two minutes but it was so much fun I couldn't wait for the feature!
This is a picture from the feature. You can't see me real well and the picture is blurry but I am the car in the top right. There were 12 cars to start the feature.
After making some good hits and getting hit by a guy that pushed me all the way accross the track I got stuck on the cement block. Darn bumpers who needs them anyways! As I was trying to free my car from the block my radiator hose broke off and starting throwing really hot water everywhere, including in my face and on my hands. No worries I didn't get burnt! But the officials stopped the derby to make sure I was ok.
So I got out and counted the cars that were left. One, two, three, four, five......wait five, that's it! That means I took 6th out of 12! I was so excited and had so much fun! The car still runs and might be able to be in one more demo, I guess we will see what demo season brings.

On the way home Jordy and I were talking and he asked "So now do we have to build you a car for next year?" I just laughed and said no I will use the one you already wrecked!

If Your Not Busy

I just thought that I would let everyone know that this Sunday August 16th is the Phillips fair.
There is a Demo Derby on Sunday afternoon and one that starts at 5pm. Well in the picture below you can see Jordy's dad Ray's demo car. That particular car will be running in the Phillips Demo Derby, but there will be a different driver.

ME!!! I am going to be in the PowderPuff Derby at the 5pm show. So if you don't have plans and don't mind a little Sunday drive come cheer me on! I am a little nervous but very excited!

And again another derby

I know I know, it is about time that I post something. Well during the summer we have a very packed schedule between demos and parties and weddings and trying to spend some time with eachother on the weekends. I am sure that not all of you know but Jordy got a job back on the raod. He is working for Zenith Tech, building bridges, so he is gone all week and comes home on weekends that he doesn't have to work.

During the fair I worked alot as an EMT and it worked out perfect because I was already in the pits for the demo. Jordy's little brother Josh and his dad Ray were in the demo on Sunday. Josh ended up taking 4th in the feature. Ray didn't make it to the feature but was happy that Josh made it.

The picture below is from the first show, and as the announcer said it this is a "Judnic Sandwhich". That is Josh inbetween the two cars. Needless to say we had to do a little hood work before the second show.

Here is Jordy watching closely so he can give the guys signals if needed.

Ray is such a good sport! Even though he didn't make it to the feature he still threw stuffed animals into the crowd for the kids. This has actually became a tradition when he runs.

Trip to Illinois

This weekend we went to Illinois for a demo derby. Yes you read that right! We left at about 10am on Friday and finally got down there at 4:30. We went to what's called Metal Mayhem, this is a derby against the states. Friday night was a good show but did we get wet! They got about 3 inches of rain within an hour and a half. Everything was flooded and very muddy.

The night show was cool because of all of the fire coming out of the headers on the motor.

Saturday it was beautiful, and there were lots of roll-overs.

I just like this picture so I had to put it in there.
And this is what we got to look at all weekend. Yes it is a nuclear power plant.

Feeling Adventurous!

So the other day I was feeling a little adventurous, so I finally made my tattoo appointment. As some of you know I had put off getting my tattoo for about two and half years because I don't like needles. Well to tell you the truth, it wasn't that bad!! I wanted to get something that means a lot to me, so of course I picked something that dealt with music. Here are some pictures of my tattoo.

It is a treble cleff upside down that meets with a bass cleff to make a heart. Then I had them put a couple of music notes around it. The reason I got it on the top of my foot is because I can't have a tattoo showing, well your not supposed to at least.

WooHoo!!!! I did it!

This past weekend was very very long! I had to work on Friday, which was fine, however before my National Registry test date got changed I had picked up some hours on Friday night. Call me crazy but I kept the hours! So on Friday I worked from 4pm to 2am, yes 2am! I do this often so it shouldn't bother me, but my test was rescheduled for Saturday at 8:15am in Rice Lake! So I worked until 2, got home slept until 5:15 and we were on the road by 5:45!!! So you can do the math, that ain't a lot of sleep. I was so nervous because I didn't feel ready because I was so tired! Good news though, I passed with flying colors!! I was done at about 12:30 and again we were on the road. We stopped by mom and dads house, and I guess I took like 20 min nap in the lawn chair, then we went out to eat to celebrate, had a couple drinks and then Jordy and I went out after to celebrate. It was a very long day, but it was all so worth it, because I am now an EMT!

Graduation-Jordy's little brother

On the 22nd we had Medford's Graduation for Jordy's little brother Josh. I can't believe that he is out of school now! It seems like just yesterday that I would see him in the hallway when he first started high school. Man it sure doesn't feel like I have been out of school for 2 years already! Jordy and I are so proud of him!
Here is Josh and our friend Tori. I love this picture!
Me, Josh and Macie.....he was calling us his sisters that night.
Here is Josh with his cake on Saturday at his Graduation party....and yes that is a raider red mohawk!

And last but not the least Jesse, Josh and Jordy.

I see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Everyone I have talked to that is an EMT, say that becoming an EMT is very difficult and very overwhelming. Well I can proudly say that I have one week left of class, and I am very confident that I will have no problem passing the final. Then on June 6th I have my National Registry test, and again I feel very confident with what I will be getting tested on. So the end is near!!

Our new hobby

Normally when we go to the store we make a list and then get only what is on the list. Well yesterday we kinda broke the rules a little bit, actually a lot! We have been trying to find something that we can do together and gets us outside. So our new hobby is Golfing! Some of our friends now call us the old couple, because we like to watch the news, read the news paper and now we are going to be golfing. So here are some pictures of what we came home with yesterday. The funny thing is, we went to the store to get draino, toothpaste and soda. What a combination ! :-) (My golf clubs are still at the store, we figured just get one set at a time)

Here is Jordy with his new golf clubs. That is the only thing he carried into the house, because he had to open them and get outside to see how well he liked them!

Any tips?

I love the pictures that I got to post this morning but I am a rookie at Windows Writer. I guess I'm not sure how to use it yet. If anyone has any tips for me to help me let me know. Thanks!!!

Some Random Pictures of Jordy and I

I was blogging and I realized that I didn’t want to look at the snow pictures on my blog anymore, so here are some pictures of Jordy and I, because I don’t really have any pictures of us on here! The picture on the far right is my Favorite picture of us!

Something funny that I just noticed is that Jordy is wearing the same dress shirt in three of the pictures! Good thing we bought him two new ones! :-)

What Time of Year is it?

I went to sleep last night knowing that it was snowing outside, but it wasn't sticking to the ground, at that point it was more like rain. Now at this time of year I can deal with rain, but snow not so much. It is Spring we are supposed to be getting lots of rain. And all of this cold weather and snow is pushing the date back for me to plant my very own garden. Of course I have no idea what I am doing, but how hard can it be? Hopefully this is the last time I have to wake up to snow this year. I am ready for weather in the 70's and sunny! I think I might just go find Julie and Brian in Florida if all of this snow keeps up!

New Neighbors!

I am very excited that we have a new neighbors! It is actually a very good friend of ours, his name is Justin. The reason I say neighbors is because he has a dog named Charlie, he is so cute and very energetic! We are planning on sharing the garage with him so we are hoping that we can take down what is supposed to be a wall, but is more like 2X4's and chicken wire. In the picture below is Jordy, Justin and our other friend Chris. Here is a good question, how many men does it take to hook up the trailer to the truck? I am just kidding! Sorry I haven't been blogging very much, I just don't have that exciting of a life, basically I work, go to school and sleep. So hopefully this summer will be a little different!

OH NO!!!!

So as I have told you in the past I am in the EMT course in Medford. Well this was my first call....Just Kidding! It was a fake call for practice, on this call we learned how to strap a patient to the backboard. So obviously nothing really happend I thought the title "OH No" would make it interesting! ;-) I am getting closer to becoming an actual EMT, I can't wait to be able to go out and help the community and I hate to say it but friends and family that may be in need. (I don't mean that in a bad way, I just don't want to see them hurt.)

The person in the picture is not me, it is a very good friend of mine that is also in the class with me.

Here she is being a good sport about it, even though she is uncomfortable! And let me tell you from experience they are horribly uncomfortable! But lifesaving!

This last week I got my Training Permit in the mail. That means that I can start going on ride alongs with the EMT crews. This also means I can start doing my clinicals in the ER Department. So who knows if you call 911 maybe I will be one to come and help.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I know that this post is a little late, but better late than never! In the time that Jordy and I have been together I have never gotten flowers. I am a little sad about that because I love flowers, but he would rather buy me something that will last. So in a way it is almost better than flowers. Our Valentine's Day started out by us shooting pool and darts in our new rec room. Now I know what you are thinking, the pictures of our house looked like we had a lot of space, but not that much. To tell you the truth I like the pool table and the dart board, because we play all the time. Anyways as we were shooting darts we decided that we were going to go out to eat in Wausau. Bad Idea! We got to Wausau and we drove around to different restaurants to try to get in. Well Texas Roadhouse which was where I really wanted to eat was a 3 hour wait! So obviously that was out of the question. Other places we went to was an hour and a half, finally we decided to go to Hudsons thinking it wouldn't be that packed. Again Bad Idea!! There was a 2 hour wait, so we finally decided we were sick of driving around and went to eat at the China Buffet. It was good and I told Jordy I was a cheap date there because our bill was like $20. We then went to the mall and Jordy told me to follow him into the kitchen section of JcPenny. He pointed to a Rachel Ray pan and said this is what I am getting you for Valentine's Day. I got so excited because the biggest pan we have in our kitchen is a 10 in pan and we have to use our electric skillet for everything. Well I got my pan today! And I can't wait to use it. So all in all it was a long but great Valentine's Day!

A school update

I thought that I would let everyone know what I am doing right now. This past summer I decided to take a year off to make some money. Well on January 9th I signed up for the EMT class at NTC. I am being sponsored by Taylor County Ambulance Services, so I will be working for the Medford Ambulance. I am so excited to be able to work as an EMT!

One down, Five to go!

If you didn't know I am in Six weddings this year. And yes I mean I am in them, not just attending. And I could not be happier to spend this special day with each of the couples! So this was the first one of the year, it is my best friend Amie's wedding. The wedding was in appleton on Februray 7th, 2009 and the weather couldn't have been better. The pictures aren't the best, but the bride was beautiful!
This is me with the best man, and I know this isn't Jordy, but we didn't even get a picture together! ;-)
This is my favorite picture of Amie

It was so beautiful out, sunny and in the 40's.

I don't live with Mom and Dad

Obviously this is the living room
The one bedroom

The dining room

The kitchen

and the bathroom

This year was my first Christmas not living at home! And for those of you that didn't send me a card my address is in the phone book (just ignore the apartment # because I don't have one anymore). I am just kidding, we didn't send out cards either. Anyways Jordy and I moved out of mom and dads last March. Here is our apartment. I know that they aren't the best pictures but give me a break we were just moving in!

This is me!

So I thought that for my first post I would let everyone know that I live somewhat of a CRAZY life. This is a picture I used for Senior pictures because I didn't like my real ones. Isn't mom a good picture taker?
